with safety help over the top. Diggs’ length might give Nabers some trouble, but he’ll get his share of catches, hopefully a few TD’s as well. I’m more concerned if we can cover Lamb.
They will double him and won't give him the under stuff. Think MN could get free for a deep pass or two .
Probably Diggs with Safety help. Should provide opportunities for Wan'Dale, etc. As a DC, I would rather try forcing the Giants to matriculate the ball down the field with a bunch of short stuff then let Nabers get the ball in his hands. But easier said then done. I think Nabers is still going to get his.
Really interested to see if Hyatt becomes a bigger part of the game plan with Slayton questionable. This seems like a prime opportunity for Hyatt or Slayton to get some big plays deep.
I still don't think the Giants win this game, though. Dak will be able to exploit this thing secondary, and that's going to be the Giants' Achilles heel.
following a cpl Dallas podcasts, The thought is that the secondary is very young and inexperienced and not quite ready for much complication, esp on a short week.
The problem is when ML goes across the formation, all the responsibilities for everyone changes (should diggs follow) I think that leads them to too much communication issues.
I def think they will use 1.5/ 2 ppl to cover him. They may switch it up if it is not working.
I also think ML is the kind of WR that gives Diggs fits, so i think ML would destroy him if the OL gives times for longer routes and double moves.
I hope Dabs runs the ball down their throats and takes shots with PA when it presents. WDR and WR3 should all have juicy matchups.
And don’t call the game like they normally do when we play in Dallas. Aka Roughing the quarterback whenever somebody gets close to Dak, phantom holding penalties that disrupt a big 3rd down play, Ignoring blatant holding penalties by them etc etc
little, then DJ will panic just check down to Singletary/WR, Thats been the MO for years on DJ and the Giants now
The only way we win is to run the ball well. Then Dallas has to change things and commit more players to the run. This will open things up enough that maybe even DJ can find the receivers.
Dallas has stuffed the LOS rushed the passer and jumped the hot routes - with help over the top - looking for turnovers. New team and new DC. In theory, we have a better offensive line and better receivers. Will the Giants get a better outcome? We will see.
Blitze Jones and make him through to Wan Dale or our TE.
I would play Tracy a lot. Have him come out of the backfield for passes. I don't think we are going to get much from our TE but it would be nice if Theo could have a break out game.
To begin with Diggs..
Make everyone else beat them
If they need to occasionally roll help over they will.
The key to this game is our running game
They can be gashed there
I'd love to see a great game from Wan'Dale and Slay
