That 80's Giants team is also "my team," and Mark Collins was always one of my favorites at the time. As with your interview with Leonard, these interviews seem more relaxed than player interviews I see elsewhere. Because of that, you guys are able to go to places, and get deeper, more personal stuff than other interviewers do, or even can. Keep it up!

Thank you and I fully agree. They (so far) trust us, plus we KNOW our Giants our history. It's not just stats, it's being so intrinsically tied to those moments, those memories that seem to set us apart from others.
John- thanks for asking my question about the kilt. Figured he'd have a solid story behind it!
Not to spoil it for others, but that was awesome to see his reaction to the video Eric played at the end. 80's GOLD right there.
Collins comes off as a great guy who is quite proud of his time with the Giants, confident in what a solid player he was and grateful to the fans. Can't ask for much more than that as a fan!
Collins is arguably the best cornerback in Giants history. The ferocity with which he played, especially in the 1990 NFC Championship game and Super Bowl, was legendary. But I loved his humility in discussing the 1988 Jerry Rice play and the 1989 Flipper Anderson play. I never knew he was so badly injured in that game.
Just listening to his perspective on the 1986-1990 teams and those defensive backfields was eye opening. Mostly because I think I always took them for granted given how great the front seven was on those teams. But the truth is, those backfields, especially in 1990 with Walls, Collins, Jackson and Guyton, were fantastic. And I agree with him - I think the 1990 team was the better overall team than the 1986 team. They absolutely should have won at least one more Super Bowl during his eight year tenure here.
Terrific job guys - Marshall, Seubert and Collins is a phenomenal start to your program. Keep up the great work.
"We looked like a bunch of guys who broke into the stadium!" 😂
Like Leonard Marshall, Collins was criminally underrated in his time. Riddle me this - how is it that the Giants were a top notch defense year in and year out, yet aside from LT and Carson, no one made a Pro Bowl more than once?

Of you watch the interview with Mark Collins and even Leonard Marshall and Rich Seubert. I do know they look at the views and I want to make sure they feel like their time with us was worth it.
Coming up in just over a week we will have Perry Williams coming on. I am working on other beat writers and tons of players..
If things go sideways season wise we will start going heavier into next steps, draft prep and possible changes in the organization..

All of the former player interviews have been fantastic. I've enjoyed them all.

Eric, can you post that article you were referring to multiple times?

Sure. John sent it to him and he responded that he thought it was a great article.

Anti-New York bias.
