will he show up tonight?
We all recall the 0-8 MNF stat, and then an undrafted FA comes in last year and wins his first prime time game against a playoff bound team like it’s a walk in the park.
According to CBS Sports Jones is 1-12 in prime time (.077 win %). That is the worst prime time record since 1970 among QB’s with 10+ starts (by a country mile). The top four are Jones, Andy Dalton (.222), Jeff George (.227), Ken Anderson (.231). Bonus points to anyone who can remember the lone win.
People are focusing a lot on how Jones (and most QBs) performs in general but I think a major part of evaluating a player should be greatly weighted on:
1. How he performs against good teams and
2. How he performs when the lights are brightest and pressure is highest
Will be interesting to see who shows up tonight.

There is the Thursday night game in 2020 in which Engram dropped what would have been the clinching first down catch.
The Chiefs game in 2021 was also winnable.
Lots of garbage like the Dallas game last year as well.
Just as all good things come to an end, so do all bad ones - eventually. Were I praying man and sports was worth petitioning the lord, I'd be doing that for tonight. It would be so so nice to be 2-2 with that monkey off the team's back.
I have no expectations. But at the very least, please -- not another stunningly awful deflating play right out of the tunnel.

It's bizarre.
pretty my my entire life
Indeed!
I will take that.
Hey, he's .500 in the playoffs! :)
Jones actually did play well in that loss at Washington. I thought that was one of his better games.

He's an almost .500 QB in non prime time, and the worst of all-time in prime time. I'm not sure how you can place odds on him ever winning a SB just based on this.
Hey, he's .500 in the playoffs! :)
Kerry Collins played a great game against the Viking in the playoffs too
An “almost .500” record out if primetime. He is 21-26 outside of prime time. I dont see how thats good or helps his case.
And his lone win was a 160 yd passing zero TDs performance with 35 rushing and the offense scored 13 pts
Thibodeaux happened to have all-time epic game with a TD, 12 tackles, a sack, 3 TFLs and another QB hit
The game had a bit of a controversy ending ending at the 2 yd line with Washington going for a potential tie
Fucking stupid comment. Just stop. The stench of this idiocy doesn't need to infect every thread.
Sunday at 1 is my favorite Giants' gametime.

to have a QB for the past six years to whom the descriptor "worst of all time" can be applied.

It... *has* been fun?
