I used to love ESPN in my 20s. It was ALWAYS on and I loved so many of the personalities. I currently hate it. It's awful and it's made worse by the analysts they choose to celebrate.
Zach Lowe was one of the few there that was actually a good sports journalist that was a holdover from Bill Simmons Grantland hires. And they let him go today, presumably so they can give Steven A. Smith another raise.
Hopefully he gets hired on by the Ringer or Athletic soon. I really can't believe it.

McAfee's show is pretty damn good. How he got ESPN to allow him to be that salty was quite a coup.
But I agree on SAS and Greenberg. I think both might have access to a dossier that doesn't paint a pretty picture of Iger.
And pay very little to anyone else for content and hosting TV shows. Lowe created good content but also made a lot of $$ while probably not bringing in that much. They can get cheaper content options that still provide decent content. And they have paid big bucks to people on TV that can be easily replaced for much less money.
Maybe. I'm more amazed they keep rolling Corso out there at 90. He should have ridden off into the sunset a decade ago...
Who cares?
His Lowe Post podcast is excellent too, and the title is brilliant.
