If we had a QB that could stretch the field, or even a QB that offered a different threat like really running (Like Lamar or Jayden Daniels), I think this offense would be very good. Instead the D just bunches up close to the LOS
Actually seems like a great excuse that will save him
They elected to pay a backup quarterback to be their starter, then they elected to back him up with a terrible quarterback so that the starter wouldn't feel challenged.
They drafted a great player in Nabers and he's made zero fucking difference to this team. Add his name to the list of people being chewed up by the incompetence.
Is the problem, not Jones. The team has ro be able to run the damn football. Nabers is a stud, and he does make a difference. The Giants lost today because they could not run the football.
Did you see Nabers telling Jones to throw it to the other shoulder after he got blown up on the hitch route? It's his fourth fucking game and he has to tell the sixth year vet not to throw him into a woodchopper.

They sucked tonight running the ball and that was a big problem but Jones’ inaccuracy throwing the ball downfield was also a significant factor in losing tonight.

It's really amazing. Lambuth has pointed this out, but everyone who comes into the building loves Jones. Whether it's Shurmur, Garrett, Judge or Daboll - they all love the guy. And Daboll is going to lose his job swinging with Daniel Jones. Daboll owns Jones just as much as everyone else.

Brian Daboll praises Daniel Jones for his performance tonight and in the last three games:
If you watched Connor on Inside BBI podcast he rolled his eyes that it was a solely a Daboll and Schoen call and corrected the rumor by calling it an “organizational decision”. Now what do you suspect that means….

for this mess. It cracks me up. The guy literally has proven again and again over and over he can't throw the ball down the filed and he is not part of the problem. As we saw last year we can win just as much or more when the backup is in the game. PLEASE no more Daniel Jones...PLEASE!!!!! I don't care if he completes 20 passes on 5 yard routes....thats not going to do it in the NFL. How many touchdowns did we score tonight? Thats right ZERO

if the passing game can’t challenge the defense down the field, the defensive players are free to move a couple of steps closer to the LOS. Makes a difference.
I'm not delusional. Slayton has made a lot of mistakes.
I think a guy who is paid to catch the football should be able to make the hard catch, but I doubt he's credited for a drop on the last one. That ball was simply thrown behind him and away from the momentum of the route.
It would have been a great catch. And frankly the pass catchers on this team aren't making many of those.
The one DJ threw over the defender on theast drive and for some reason Wandales midget ass stops and jumps 2 inches in the air to watch the ball sail over him. If he ran his route that's a go ahead TD
Dak completed one pass in this game that traveled over 15 yards
He knows he can’t win with jones and is showing it for everyone to see. At the end of the year, in private, he’ll tell John that Jones held the team back. So far it looks like it: if Jones was at minimum average, we probably are 4-0.

Congratulations. If he doesn’t underthrow 4 deep balls before that that could have been TDs and hits one of them, that play doesn’t matter.
On first and second down Dallas gave him a guy on the flat that would have been 10 yards in six seconds and a clock stoppage. Neither time does he take it, instead holding the ball, killing clock, and gaining zero yards. That is brain dead football.
Then he leaves it as far as he can on the pick, and the ball goes what, 50 yards into double coverage. That is brain dead football AND injured football. Daniel Jones is 27 years old and he already looks like an old man throwing the football. You can get by with that if you're Peyton Manning or Drew Brees, but not if you're playing brain dead football.
One more thing - would you rather see Malik Nabers out there being beaten into a concussion or watch Michael Penix hitting the deep balls that Jones can't?

But it did matter. So fuck your Congratulations. Kindly)

15 fucking points a game.
We might get shut out in Seattle if Nabers misses next week…Jones in the past could lean on Barkley…now it’s Nabers…if he’s out? Who is he gonna lean on? Slayton?

They can't run the football because defenses don't respect Jones.
You didn't see Baltimore or New Orleans having any trouble running the ball right down Dallas' gullet, because Dallas has played poorly in run defense.
But when they don't have to worry about the QB making them pay on the back end, they can focus their attention to the box. And they know that it only takes one win on down-and-distance for the checkdown king to throw short of the sticks on third down and get off the field easily.
You watched the game tonight, and you came away with the view that deep passes are not being hit because the WRs are dropping them?

I couldn’t believe he threw that ball.

Make a wish QB
Also, probably not a great idea to play the receiver with a busted thumb.

Be better if he didn’t play at all. Sorry man, I know you’re a fan - but he’s been really bad this year.
