Every deep ball was poorly thrown. There are no more excuses. The oline gave Jones enough time to make an Italian hoagie. Nabers is a rookie and is setting records but makes Ronnie mistakes. Drops yes but no excuses.
Time to cut bait... Six years is way more than enough
RE: RE: RE: Because they don’t have to worry about the deep ball.
Doesn’t mean the threat still wasn’t there. They knew they could play it safe and still win the game.
Oh now I get it. They didn't even have to try to beat us because Jones was in the game. Probably why our Oline didn't run block and why Burns was a no show. It's clear now. Thanks.

We have some very dumb fans.
You're dumb Mike. Like most people from Ohio
And there it is! Thunderstruck reveals himself for the clown he is.
Go to bed you angry little man.
Lol calling you dumb makes me a clown and angry and little? You're just dumb bro. Go back to your Daniel Jones posts. We get it.
Most people from Ohio are stupid? You are clearly just saying non-sensical things now. Where do you come from that most people are clearly smarter than peopel from Ohio, and what are you basing that on?
You are really angry and saying really stupid things that make no sense, like people from certain states are mostly dumb. You aren’t a serious person. Maybe you are just drunk? Either way, you revealed yourself.
No…you identified most people from Ohio as dumb. Do explain…
He called you it after you said we have dumb fans. Stop acting like a child. If you dish it, then take it.
I am not reacting to him calling me dumb. I am reacting to his statement that most people from Ohio are dumb. Go back and take another read and maybe you will understand the difference.

You made a statement that generalized a group of people, he threw one back at you. Get over it.
You really seem to have a tough time understanding what you are reading.
“We have dumb fans” = there are dumb fans in the group. That can be 1 or more (yeah, I was talking about Thunderstruck. I was calling him dumb).
“You’re dumb, like most people from Ohio” = More than 50% of people from Ohio are dumb.
Do you still need more clarification on the difference? I called a specific person dumb based on what that specific person said. There are over 10 million people in Ohio. If we assume there are 10 million from Ohio, he said at least 5 million of them were dumb.

They need another house cleaning. The fans deserve so much better. It's just such a boring team and they are going to get Nabers seriously hurt flooding him with non stop targets.

Nabers had 15 targets with 12 catches. The other 3 were a drop, the tough play on the sideline on 4th down, and I forgot the third one.
If a WR catches 80% of the passes thrown at him - he should be targeted as much as possible.
It’s next to impossible to throw the ball that many times and not score a touchdown. It’s next to impossible to run 56 plays, win the time of possession by 11 minutes and score 15 points.
The passing game is very much the problem.
Yep, this is it. And now we have an elite WR and good pass protection and still don't score.
It is just crazy to keep doing the same thing by starting this awful QB every year, every game.
Absolving Daboll, Slayton, and Robinsons game tonight to blame everything on Jones just shows they are here to troll the board.
Some of those posters have claimed Slaytin would be a very good on other teams.
The fact is…
Jones isn’t very good
Daboll isn’t very good
Slayton isn’t very good
Robinson wasn’t very good tonight.
But carry on….
I don’t think I saw anyone say Daboll, Slayton and Robinson were really good tonight and Jones lost them the game. Jones get talked about the most because the offense runs through him and he gets paid $40M/year, and the offense isn’t good.
Jones isn’t the only problem this team has, but he is certainly a significant problem.

It is when 90% of the throws go about 3 yards. Every other team sees what we are doing and they will pack their defense in tight. Don't have to worry about the floaters we call long passes so why protect against it? Nabers could have put up the fair catch sign for the pass he caught on the broken coverage.
At one point Jones was 21-24 and had a YPA of over 9. YPC has been a bad subject for Jones over the years.
When you’re averaging 9 yards per attempt - the passing game is working. Yes Jones deep ball was brutal. But his short to intermediate game was pinpoint last night.
We had two major problems in the pass game last night.
1. Jones deep ball
2. Daboll play calling inside the 25.

Neither should be scapegoated. Both are to blame.
He is good at getting the ball out of his hands quickly on short routes. The problem is that the defense can sit on those routes and just make the tackles because the offense isn’t stretching the field. The defense knows the offense can’t stretch the field.
This is how you defend backup QBs or how you play when you know your QB has no time in the pocket. Everything has to come out fast because plays developing down field is not an issue if the QB can’t throw them.
I would not be surprised to see Dallas’ run defense continue to struggle in their next few games. The didn’t fix the problem last night, they just ran into an offense that made the job easier.
when every drive is long drives and then you have to score in the redzone where everything gets tighter..
You have to hit on big plays to make it easier on yourself..
cant be constantly 1st and goal from the 10..
Absolutely. You can’t score without chunk plays. If you can’t create chunk plays through the passing game, you aren’t going to score very many points, regardless of how many 5 year out routes you hit.

I agree that in the long run - you can’t win many games unless you get big chunk plays.
IMO - what Jones is good at - was working last night and for whatever reason Daboll deviated it when it mattered most. We could have won the game getting 6-7-8 yards per pass.
I’d argue they ran the same offense in the red zone that they did the rest of the game. It’s a lot harder to dink and dunk your way to a TD when there’s less yards to cover.
I’d argue they ran the same offense in the red zone that they did the rest of the game. It’s a lot harder to dink and dunk your way to a TD when there’s less yards to cover.
This. You can’t dink and dunk into the end zone. Dallas let the Giants dink and dunk up and down the field knowing that if they didn’t give up a big play, they would win. They were right.
I’m sure the Dallas defense did not walk off the field thinking, “man that guy just carved us up! We have to be better than that!”

It’s hard to score running on 1st and second long with no success either.
Again - you are failing to acknowledge that many of the runs failed when Dallas was clearly playing the pass.
2nd and goal from 10 - no yards
1 and 15 - 1 yard
1st and 10 - no yards
That was a constant theme last night. We scored pretty easily in the red zone against a better defense last week because we didn’t use our best player as a decoy/blocker.
good. They were so concerned about Nabers beating them they let him get 15 targets and 12 catches for 115 yards.
They knew they didn’t have worry about the deep ball, had the corners play off and clean up after the catch and threw the rest of the their energy at stopping the run.
May have been playing the pass doesn’t mean the defense wasn’t playing the run.
The defense gets paid to scheme too.
Come on. You’re better than this. You really think Dallas was playing the runnin 2nd and 10 and 2nd and 15?
You think their main concern was Devin singletary? Or Malik nabers? The run blocking sucked last night. Call a spade a spade.
The Giants have a lot of tendencies. One of them is that they are one of the team who most frequently run the ball on 2nd and long. So yes, on second and long they were playing the run because that is typically what the Giants do.
Isn’t that on Daboll then? If other teams know your tendencies - and you continue to do it…
I don’t know - the run game sucked the last two games. People were bitching about dink and dink - well if you dink the ball on 1st and 10 and get 5-6 yards - isn’t that a positive?
stop the run, and limit Nabers. None of our other weapons are a real threat, especially when everything is thrown in front of the sticks.
This is simply not true. Slayton is consistently open all over the field Jones just never hits him.
The QB doesn’t make defenses pay and they don’t fear him at all. When Jones plays his team doesn’t put up points or touchdowns. They are now 6 seasons of evidence of this.

Then why didn't Dallas run for only 1 ypc?
Because Dallas has the threat of the deep ball, their QB can do it.

But he didn't. He barely threw the ball over 7 yards and only over 15 once...for 17. No long ball from Big D tonight.

Passing game is fine. Drops and penalties killed our passing game tonight. Again, Dak threw 1 ball 17 yards in the air and nobody in Dallas is crying.
That Dak throw covered just over twenty yards in the air and is therefore beyond Jones' current capabilities.
Some of those posters have claimed Slaytin would be a very good on other teams.
