Two yrs ago,Daboll was coaching to win being brave and smart. This carries over to the players and the fans.Players were trying harder to get the plays called to work.He took chances and the team responded and won..Not this year..Your offensive players can feel the difference in your play calling. That's not what a head coach and play calling coach should want. For the most part other than our running game we played well enough to win.Red zone play calling was minor league.
We had a couple of calls by the ref's that either went our way or against..We did not lose this game by the ref's calls..It was Daboll's calls..
Bill Belechick would have WON this game.!!
And it’s top down. Mara, Schoen, Daboll just have no clue.
We lost the game because we couldn’t convert explosive plays and they did. It’s that simple. If this is what we are with this QB/Defense then we’re screwed.
FIVE play callers
Maybe it’s the qb that is both scared and incapable of pushing the ball down the field.
It’s a shame he’d rather roll Jones out and coach scared because there were come excellent play designs tonight.
But the longer he coaches scared with Jones the deeper he’s digging his own grave. The seasons over, forget trying to salvage it and try saving your job. If every game looks like Minnesota so be it.
I guarantee this offense looks better with Lock or Devito just like it did last year when they played. If the goal is to win games they need to move on from Jones now, if the goal is to tank for top draft pick in hopes they don’t win any more meaningless games like they did last year and miss out on top QB prospects you have to embrace Jones as the starter through the season. The guy won’t even surpass Dave Brown in wins here when he is done, but let’s give him another coach, another GM and another 5 years to figure it out. Haha.
a DB,or a TD,or the QB could run it in for a TD.
If anything,if you don't score,Dallas is on their 3 yd line..You make them punt, you get the ball around midfield, and go back down and try again.
The actual play calls and scheme seems fairly aggressive, DJ just can’t pull off the long ball . . .
