But as a poster said, at first it was overthrows and last night it was underthrows. I would be inclined to let him work out the kinks coming off injury and keep getting reps in practice and games each week at it.
have the two neck injuries affected his ability to throw deep.
This is what I was thinking about last night. He looks like he literally can't throw it deep with any kind of control anymore. That was something he was decent at early on. I mean, just that pass to Nabers that floated on the first big play where Nabers had to turn around and wait for the ball. That could have been a touchdown. It looks like a physical limitation to me at this point.

+1. If we can't throw the ball down the field, teams will pack in the defense and we'll get what we got last night. DJ also doesn't seem to have the spatial awareness to fit throws into tight windows in the end zone, so everything has to be short and hope somebody can run it into the end zone. Either way we're joined to another object by an incline plane wrapped helically around an axis

The deep incompletion to Slayton in the second half was the same thing. Slayton beat his man and then had to literally stop and stand there to try to catch the ball. The corner caught up and hit him as the ball arrived. It was a woefully poor pass.

The thing is, the overthrows and the underthrows appear to be the same problem (IMO): something seems to have sapped his arm strength on deep balls.
The deep overthrows the past few weeks have been absolute missiles that were thrown as though DJ was just trying to throw as deep as possible, regardless of the trajectory of the ball (those deep overthrows never had a chance of a receiver being able to run under them because of how they were thrown).
Just uncorking a long pass with no accuracy is basically what happens when someone is only focused on maxing out the distance of the throw, but has to put all of their effort into it. And then last night (again, IMO) is what those deep passes look like when it's not just an indiscriminate vertical launch - with any air under them at all, they were underthrown.
Regardless of any other DJ criticisms, I think there might very well be something that has cost DJ some of his arm strength (I presume the neck injuries but that's purely speculation on my part).

In all seriousness, do you honestly believe it's just a matter of "Working out the kinks" for him?

Should probably rework his contract to give him another few years to sort it out.

Bingo! Been thinking the same thing. When he first came up he could drop dimes. Now- not so much. Throws are behind, short or overthrown. The only difference from rookie year that would affect his accuracy is the neck thing. His legs seem strong and god knows he has more time to throw than ever before.
Hoping he can regain the dimes!

Saw this talked about a ton on Twitter last night.

And they should keep trying BTW - regardless of QB.
The OL is at least pass blocking well now - keep at it.
They'll eventually connect.

It only stands to reason that next week will be DJ's Goldilocks game!
