and of course preened like a peacock after. Never a good look when one nice play didn’t stop your opponent from rolling up and down the field all night

I was yelling at the tv for Thibs to cut out the showboating when he finally got a sack...just about the first decent play he's made all season and he acted like that.
This is where this Org is failing and why they are in the position that they are in. They seem to overpay to fix an area/position that is lacking. They could have gotten Jonathan Greenard for a lot less(almost half), and kept draft picks! Jonathan Greenard Has 4 sacks for the season. Enough said..
Please stop making definitive statements from a small sample size
Burns career has shown him be a very good pass rusher, ascending player with elite potential
Yes, Thibs has been out-playing him
But does that mean for those of you saying Thibs sucks? we’re wrong about him?
Burns was also dealing with a groin issue which is likely effecting him
I’ll go on record saying I think there will be many more “Glad we signed Burns” threads than “what a mistake” threads.
But we shall see.
that hasn't really gotten up to speed in the defense. Let's see where he's at in 2 more games. His get off jumps out, but he and Thibidoux are underwhelming I will agree. I do remember changing coordinators does take some time.. See Banks as well. He's not exactly been super great either, guessing its the thinking the game instead of just playing fast.
To another of the leagues worst teams. I’m concerned he’s in it for the Benjamin’s and nothing else.
As much as we like to romanticize the league, I’m quite certain that there are very few guys who are not in it for the money. While I understand what you’re saying, certain guys have a level of pride that drive them. Or maybe it’s just not wanting to let your teammates down. From what I know about the guy, I would expect he’s going to play hard.

Where Thibs was drafted we should be expecting him to be as good or better than Burns, and this is the year for him to ascend to one of the elite pass rushers in the league.
I remain confident that this will be a great bookend duo, but guys, my expectations have always been that this is a building year. Get these guys playing better and with confidence so that they can be formidable when it matters (i.e., when we have a legit franchise QB).
Sometimes it's going to be Thibs, sometimes Burns. From my casual watch, it seemed like Thibs had a good game.
Does anyone have any info on how many pressures the entire Giants defensive front had against the Cowboys? That is the more important fact to me.

Dallas has a rookie LT and Terence Steele (an undrafted player) at RT. That's not a situation where your highest paid defensive player disappears.
