I can’t think of one player who has stepped up their game and developed into a better player than what they were when they came here. If no one ever develops, the Giants will never win.
out of DJ, it's just that it's not good enough. Flott has improved and McKinney made his money under the Daboll regime. I would argue that Wan'Dale has improved since he got here as well, and Slayton has improved into a more well-rounded receiver.
Okereke, Pinnock, Hodgins, DJ, Bellinger, JMS maybe, McFadden, Julian Love, McCloud, Wan'dale. Pretty damn good for two years. Go back and check Fassell or Coughlin after two years and I doubt it is that good. There are valid complaints to be had against Daboll. This is not one of them.
But as far as criticisms go, development has been an issue since before coughlin. Not I'm my lifetime have I said, "hey, we developed that guy" and not chalked it up to luck.
Martellus Bennett. That's the last player that improved during his tenure with NY. Drafted or signed.

I'd argue Shurmur got the most out of DJ. Also, Slayton is who he always was.

+1. McCloud and Pinnock are big examples. I hope this thread is one where the threadstarter actually reverses his opinion due to comments.
IMO, Daboll's offense is being held back by our QB situation. He called 3-4 long passes at the perfect time, that were perfectly executed but for our QB. All of which could have been TDs. Hit a couple of those we win the game easy.
IMO, the NFL is not a developmental league. At least not as much as some seem to think.
But I'm starting to think that the whole complex of talent evaluators of the Giants is below average.

I believe that's the biggest issue.
