I know this has been mentioned before, but watching backups like Joe Flacco come into a game and be effective, tossing TDs and moving their teams, makes it even more glaring that the Giants did nothing to improve their own backup QB situation, arguably making it worse with Drew Lock.
Like a lot of others, I'm convinced management purposely didn't want anyone even semi-competent behind Jones because they knew the calls to bench Jones would happen. They didn't want ANY competition for Jones (no QBs drafted even in late rounds & crappy backups) forcing the fan base to live with Jones (no better options).
if this team had Flacco under center, they'd have won those last two games and been at least competitive against Minnesota. (Colts agree to terms with QB Joe Flacco on one-year contract for $8.7M.)
John Mara said he was told this was best QB draft in years.
we can get the QB we need next year if he comes on big time who knows
