T.Law & the Jags got beat again today and he and team did not exactly light it up…sorta like NYGs have been. I spend a lot of time in NE Fla and locals not as excited about TL as when first drafted, and his game has kinda stalled IMO, again similar to what’s going on w/ NYG.
Would change of scenery help both DJ and TL …swap even up ? I think contracts have some similarities but not totally sure ?
Just a crazy thought cuz I’m “riding on a down bound train” regarding current overall situation.

5150 expired?
- DJ's biggest problem is accuracy yet he was "Danny Dimes" year one. Is this injury related and can he recover?
- Trevor succeed behind a decent (but not great) OL at Clemson with a receiver he could on for a 50/50 ball.

Would sign DJ to an extension if he was the GM.

For shamrocks? I’m guessing not quite.

Not sure that's the actual philosophy. I'd say about 80% of giants fans hated Jones at 6. But that's also drafting a QB high. Not sure who runs the club and sets guidelines but why would they advise against the process that gave us their (in theory) savior?
I thought the argument was more about trying to be future proof, which is more silly, there could be nuance in there between drafting a Daniels or Williams, vs drafting a McCarthy top ten, and then waiting for the rest to drop.
But back to the original statement, they all wont work out, Jones hasn't, if we can draft another one high without a terrible cost, most would probably agree. I think the biggest difference is what cost posters think is right to get the "top" guy when you know he might just not even be good.
Granted that was when Jones was playing well and Lawrence really hadn't looked that great since his freshman year at Clemson., but now two years later the same holds true. I would never trade Jones for Lawrence's massive contract.

It's as simple as this-if Jones leads the team to the playoffs and gets to the NFC Championship game as a minium, then he deserves to be back. If not, I would go the Sam Darnold route, or someobe similar.
I don’t believe you (or the rest of the DJFC). If the Giants so much as sniff a playoff birth this year with DJ at the helm, you’ll be advocating for his return next year.
Rinse and repeat.
