First post here, been reading for a long time, hello everyone!
Given what we know happened with Archie Manning/Eli/John Mara in 2003, is there in any way a non-zero chance that Archie and John are colluding again to get Arch on the Giants?
Arch looks promising, and he’ll come out in the 2026 draft undoubtedly as a top choice barring injury. Schoen and Daboll were signed to 5 year deals in 2022, so they’d have a year left on their deals when Arch comes out, so will Jones on his deal. This would give Arch an emotionless NY media stalwart to learn from, and give Daboll one more shot with a competent passer. And, if Daboll and Schoen are given the boot - which GM+coach duo wouldn’t want to coach the prodigal son?
Even more so, is it possible that Mara was so pissed about losing Saquon because he wanted Saquon to be “Tiki” for Arch?
These are just ramblings and give Mara too much credit for masterminding this scheme, but I don’t think it’s completely a 0% chance.
I have no doubt that the Manning's appreciate ow Eli was treated by the franchise and are fond of the organization, but the idea that they are planning on where Arch should go more than a year from now is pretty silly.
The odds are still remote but getting just a little less remote by the week.
Daboll isn't coaching like his job is on the line. That's a fact. I imagine both Schoen and Dabs are safe, and that they've been affirmed by Mara. But it's only a theory.
Arch looks great, but there are no sure things at QB, especially in NY.

For years? He's 19....
But he is not scheming behind the scenes to do it. He is an honest man who would follow the rules. So no, there is a 0% chance Mara is doing anything other than hoping Arch Manning is a Giant.
Its not hard to punt on the rest of 24 after a 1-3 start but to give up on 25 already is a problem.

The only way Arch Manning is a Giant is either if something goes really wrong with the Giants or with Arch Manning.

And he's been hyped since he was early in high school.
I have a hard time seeing us not take a QB this coming draft.
But like the Eagles, we can draft a top QB and introduce him into the games mid-season, 2025...lose enough that we can position ourselves for Arch and actually have two solid QB's where for years we have had none.
Then we can have flexibility and tradeability.
Lets get it done!
I don’t think Barkley would be part of any Arch conspiracy theory.
This is fun for us talk about but it's not grounded in how people really think and behave.
QBs are too expensive to be given as long a leash as they used to have (I mean - people reference Phil Simms in this regard)
Other teams cut bait early. Giants are learning the hard way.
This made me spit out my drink!
In the meantime, we will be in year 8(?) of Jones?
Awesome!
2 years, right? I'm assuming he'll declare for the 2026 draft.
LOL.
Right before the draft Arch Manning and grampa Archie hold a press conference to let everyone know, that they've met with the Giants ownership and asked them not to draft Arch.
"We prefer that Arch goes to a more stable team" said Archie Manning, before adding... "and one that doesn't suck ass!"
Giants management could not be reached for comment, as they were too busy sucking ass.

0-17, but all we need to do is get more weapons for Daniel.
