During the Coughlin/Eli era a lot of people here bitched about it. Man, I miss it. It was nice being relevant. Now the NFL wants no part of NYG on SNF.
Didn't Giants/Cowboys just set a Prime Video viewership record? Not certain the Giants are the sole reason that NBC wants to flex out, as they've typically produced Prime Time eyeballs regardless of quality. It may have more to do with the Bengals slow start.
And The Bengals aren't exactly lighting it up this year either, but isn't this all about money and wasn't the Thursday Night Football Game against the Cowboys just one of the most streamed NFL games in history?
Bad football or not, The Giants are still in the largest media market in the US.

I would think the Cowboys had quite a bit to do with that.

AFC/NFC, two teams without any sort of rivalry or even any history, no storylines to speak of, except for the fact that neither team appears to be any good.
NYG-CIN is more like a MNF combo, to me, and when I saw it as a night game on the schedule I assumed it was.
this year at night. Maybe that level of embarrassment would change some things at 1925 Giants Way. Losing 65 out of 100 doesn't seem to move the needle.

It hasn't yet...
Great another prime time game where the country can watch
Should flex all BD and DJ games for a lack of professional offense. BB can’t get here soon enough!
Because he lit it up without Brady right?
I’m sick of seeing this nonsense. You know why Brady left? Because he knew that team no longer had the talent to win. So he bailed and looked for a loaded team that did have a chance to win. You can criticize Belichick the GM all you want, he allowed the talent to deteriorate. But Belichick the coach? GTFO with that bullshit. Had Belichick left and Brady stayed to QB that horrific roster he wouldn’t have won shit either. But he went ring chasing…
At least makes the Giants interesting for the common fan. Star power plus a big market likely won’t be flexed. Especially in the player prop/gambling era.
Thursday rush hour made the trip an hour rather than the 25 minutes on a Sunday morning. At least I no longer have to get up in the morning the next day being a working sucker.
can I assume it's not going to be flexed or could it still be?
Probably. Sounds like the Was / Ravens game was the only serious consideration for a switch, but technically the game could still be moved - today is the deadline.

This seems likely to have 2 1 win teams playing each other.
I believe the announcement would have to come tomorrow.

Only reason tot keep Giants v Bengals is b/c of Nabers and Chase, two former LSU guys battling for the 1st time in the pros
