Geno Smith had somewhat of a revival as a starter in Seattle. He couldn't hold Eli Manning's jockstrap. There should be a meme about "McAdoo was right"
yeah if he ever gets in a more wide open offense i feel like he's going to have a year where he pushes for 2k yards. just an impossible cover 1 on 1 all game.
... trying to defend the pass as a DB is a 50/50 chance of getting flagged for pass interference no matter what you do short of blatantly bear hugging the receiver
Crushed that kid when he jumped into the 1st row seats after his 78 yd TD. Got an unsportsmanlike flag and the lions fan kid looked hurt or pissed trying to get Williams off of him. I mean the kid really scrambled to try and get out from under him and didn’t look happy.

Given how careful the league is to avoid lawsuits I am honestly astounded that players are still allowed to jump up into the stands for exactly the reason you just talked about. It’s just way too much of a liability for a crazy fan to stab or injure a player or a player accidentally hurting someone landing on them
perfectly timed blow out for a get right game vs nyg.
There are "injuries" and injuires that have a direct impact on the game. Seattle missing their entire frontline on Defense means a lot more than a team with 2 backup players being injured.
RE: RE: everyone navigates injuries but lions are the wrong team to spot 14
and it is good story that he he is their franchise quarterback. Seattle is another place that the Giants don't play well. This game could start the countdown for DJ's benching for good.
Seattle was missing a bunch of players and I like that HC. We will see how many make it back for Sunday. Enjoy Detroit's offense and its commitment to the run game and getting the QB under center more. Would at least want the Giants to look into Johnson if they move on from BD.
RE: RE: I've gotten ripped on BBI for defending Geno Smith
He's had a nice career for himself. Another guy McAdoo was right on.
Yep. I thought Smith’s 2017 outing vs the Raiders was comparable in quality to Manning’s Late Period performance, and Smith had room to grow.
You were the only one. Geno threw a total of 9 passes the following 2 years between the Chargers and the Seahawks. He was a fill-in in 2021 with Seattle when he threw 95 passes. He had a big year in 2022 that he did not come close to matching in 2023 and so far this season he has thrown 4 td's and 4 picks. No sane person in 2017 would have thought he was the future.
He looks good in comparison to what came after Manning and what Seattle is getting for what they are paying. He's a decent qb at $25,000,000 per year. Right now we would take that in a heartbeat.

You should be ripped. He’s been solid. Not some world beater MCAdoo is so good he’s where ? mcAdoo sucked. You’re probably rne type of guy that now thinks Ray Handley was t that bad either. We deserve to suck w stupid fans
Then you see the score - and I know the Lions are good.
Goff didn't throw an incomplete pass the entire game? What is with comp % this year?
Seattle has some good players and seem to play fast.
Yes then you see the score. And you also saw Gneo throw for nelary 400 yards. They put up 29 points. You know that they are good, though not great, right? What else are you questioning?

Well, since you are asking...their defense? Isn't there coach a defensive guy from BALT?

If oyu knwo they have injuires, thenwhy are you questioning?
Can you name one team in the NFL this past year that missed their entire frontline for entire game other than exhibition and looked good on Defense?

Broncos in Nix's first game.
Patriots.
Dolphins without Tua.
This game is a test.
Whoop whoop!
Or maybe they are being EXPOSED as a fraud :)

Yeah I didn't get that either

i think that's the situation where they go for 2 hoping to give themselves a chance to win with an XP on the road.
And now I'd settle for Jones improving into a one-legged version of Goff.
I feel like I'd prefer it if the next Giants head coach has a defensive background, but Ben Johnson would be pretty exciting too
Geno also playing a good game
