Agreed. His concussions have been scary and quite frankly of the Phins are 2-6 or even 3-5 after 8 weeks maybe they should just sit him for the rest of the season..
Right now all I care about is my fantasy football team...
Hahah I feel ya brother. For real life’s sake though I can’t believe Tua is gonna keep going out there with all the head injuries he has sustained and what we know. Docs probably said your brain can’t really get much more scrambled than it already has so make the most of the time you got now. Feel like it’s not gonna end well for him down the road.
I think he's taking decades off the back end of his life
If he quits now, he'll be taking less years off. But the allure of the arena is too great...
Yep, damage is done.
I believe he'll look back on this decision with regrets. Hopefully he makes it thru 2024 and then takes a real long look at things in the offseason.
I know his contract had guaranteed money, anyone know how much?
And I get it, he's here to play football and to give that up is difficult.
I doubt he will regret it. His whole life has probably been nothing but football and his teammates. OFC his Family but he has probably grown up that his teammates are hiso family.
It;s like saying would a SPecial Forces guy regret his decsions if some injuury took years off his life.
Football players have some type of view if they play - one hit can be career ending.
in this QB paid NFL. When you can only afford to pay one QB, that means the backups will not be very good. Rarely is a backup QB able to come close to the starters ability. Yes, I know if the backup was any good he'd be a starter somewhere. And if a backup is that good, come free agency time, he is leaving to get paid (as he should).

I remember an article where they basically stated that Tua's mindset is rooted in Samoan culture and if he can drag himself out on the field, he will. No matter what.

I think he should quit, honestly.
He may be very unhappy having to quit. Us normal people want to live a long, healthy life but that isn’t the goal for everyone.
How does a DR honestly OK this guy to play again with his history. It is just likely not to end well
Because their job is to assess his injury, recommend the recovery period, and advise on long term risks. They aren’t the judge jury and executioner of whether a player should be allowed to play.
Man, I don't know him & obviously am not a doctor, but I wish he'd just retire. I really worry about him long term. & he's made enough $ for a generation of Tuas to live comfortably. Now I get that its easy for me to say 'retire', I'm not him & he's obviously an extreme competitor.

Probably something you should keep to yourself
