Bobby Humphrey's Earpad : 10/5/2024 8:59 am
After last night's insanely fun UNLV-Syracuse game (despite the refs), a solid Week 6 slate before next week's bonanza of top-shelf games.

Missouri @ A&M
SMU @ Louisville
Navy @ Air Force
Iowa @ Ohio state
Auburn @ Georgia
Ole Miss @ South Carolina (make or beak for Ole Miss' season)
Rutgers @ Nebraska
Clemson @ Florida State
James Madison @ UL-Monroe (laugh but big game in the Sun Belt)
Tennessee @ Arkansas
Michigan @ Washington
USC @ Minnesota
Baylor @ Iowa State (ISU a Big 12 frontrunner)
Miami @ Cal

Let's do it!

And maybe Milroe goes a little later in round 1.

Milroe wasn't the issue today. He had a fine game. 19-25 for 300+ yards. He was not the problem, but that sack-fumble was a killer. He has to have better pocket awareness. That was DJ-esque.
I just don’t know how Milroe
DonnieD89 : 10/5/2024 7:54 pm : link
could not be aware of the past rusher coming from the non-blind side and causing a sack and critical fumble. That play was crucial. I can just imagine when Milroe is in the room with the teams for draft interviews and them asking what were you thinking or what happened during that particular play.
Alabama's D today...
bw in dc : 10/5/2024 7:55 pm : link
gave up 400+ yards. They have given up 12 for 18 in third down conversions. And they have been on the field for 40+ minutes because they can't stop the Vanderbilt Commodores.

Just let that sink in.

Milroe didn't play perfectly - that happens - but he played pretty damn well.

He would say he didn't feel or see the pressure.

Next question.

Welcome to football.

Is gonna be bottom tier in the big 10 for years to come.

Coaching is awful.
Absolutely no QB anywhere ready.
All their best talent is leaving.

Sherrone Moore and Wink Martindale are really really awful.
Michigan

Sherrone Moore can recruit. They have 4 and 5 star QB in the pipeline.

Wasn't the issue, but he still has some issues in the passing game that he's going to have to convince teams he's more than a runner and a long ball thrower.

I’ve honestly been so pumped about Diego Pavia all year- the kid is just an absolute gamer. He’s been so fun to watch going back to week 1 when we knocked off Virginia Tech in OT as 14 point dogs. Nearly beat Mizzou last week. Just fun to have an actual competitive team for once.

Yeah, but all QB's throw Int.'s, its the short to midrange throws with Milroe that worry me. He doesn't always throw in rhythm, and makes up for these flaws with his great athleticism and arm strength, and being on a great team.

Yeah, I thought Orji was going to be somewhat of a sleeper for Michigan, but not only could not pass the ball effectively, he wasn't doing any damage on the ground, with should be his bread and butter.

I think the reason why Jeanty is so hard to tackle is because he's so likeable and happy-go-lucky that no one wants to tackle him and kill his vibe.

In the next couple years - they have to reboot immediately.

3 worthless QBs and even a worse HC. If they were smart - they would play Jaydn Davis next week since their season is over. See what you have for next year.

A good game except for the INT and the fumble? You mean a Daniel Jones special?

Wouldn’t ya know it, just the Giants’ luck - the experts are right: this qb class ain’t special at all.
Ward doing the same
Lambuth_Special : 10/6/2024 12:18 am : link
Poor pocket navigation that turned me off of Dart last week. Stop drifting.

Also didn’t really have a live arm for some of his throws in the intermediate part of the field.
.
Banks : 10/6/2024 12:38 am : link
Holy shit, wtf was that. He throws a pop fly cross body. In college, this isn't insurmountable, but they will need to play flawless from here on out

Miami makes a stop that's likely going to be negated by a targeting penalty.

I really think he tried to turn to hit with his shoulder, but the QB lowered his head and their helmets collided. The one angle actually kinda did look like it was the shoulder pad, and the other angles where it looked like the helmet were misleading. I think that was a good no call in the end.
No targeting
santacruzom : 10/6/2024 2:15 am : link
That was a hell of punt to pin Miami deep. Ward's got his work cut out for him here.

.
Banks : 10/6/2024 2:22 am : link
They should have let him score. Cal has zero timeouts so when Miami scores this is pretty much game over
.
Banks : 10/6/2024 2:27 am : link
Cal should have kept the foot on the gas. They blew this.
Cam Ward games are an adventure
santacruzom : 10/6/2024 2:44 am : link
He's a risk taker for sure, but after 6 years of the most ineffectively boring Giants QB of my lifetime I'd take him in a heartbeat.
I just don't see
section125 : 10/6/2024 8:12 am : link
it with Ward. If your explanation is that he is better than Jones, well duh. I did not see the second half, but something about his delivery is just not right.

Sy said he has good arm strength, but I don’t see that at all. (This is mostly based on the Va Tech game). He kinda strikes me as Tua with a better body.

While I can’t stand him, it seems to me that Shedeur is the best of all of these QB prospects.
A lot of questions with Ward
jeff57 : 10/6/2024 12:24 pm : link
Low release point, holding on to the ball too long, decision making.
.
Banks : 10/6/2024 12:47 pm : link
His stats looked nice, but he looked bad for three quarters of the game. Even after the terrible pick six he missed some wide open throws even in the flat. I still like him as a prospect, but oof there was a lot of bad last night

Alabama lost to freakin Vanderbilt
Ole Miss lost to freakin Kentucky
Tennessee lost to freakin Arkansas

I see your point but losing to Georgia has nothing on those other teams
