I just saw the playoffs bracket. I've been out of baseball for a long time, but I was always a Yanks fan before Formula 1 effectively replaced it (as the other sport I follow super-closely).
I just wanted to know what the real odds are for a WS championship this year, from an actual diehard NYY fan.
I appreciate any insight.
Once in the WS, LAD would be extremely tough, although NYY has played them well last year and this year. NYM are a team playing with house money and reek of that team who gets hot and has the cinderella story. I think they swept the Yankees this year.
I'd rather lose to LAD than the NYM. But get to the WS and then we'll talk again based on how the ALCS goes.
So to answer your question I'd say 50/50. :)
Yes, that I liked!
They've been around since at least 2008. I think Scott Podsednik was the first to use one.
Even if it were random, 4 teams left would be 3-1.

Or maybe I think one of the other 3 has a 40% chance. :-)
