You know in baseball they say the most important player on the team is the next pitcher out of the bull pen.
Well in our case it off the bench.
So, help me out - I saw Lock in pre season. Few plays and ouchy'. Then Cutlets comes in. So now do we go for locks or cutlets!
What's the book on Lock? Is he worst, if so why do we have him!
please fill me in.
The team will rally behind him more than stupid Lock.
If DeVito gets killed, then we can think about putting in Lock.
But he will do some dumb things trying to make the bigger, riskier play. He doesn't take enough of the easy stuff/"profit". He thinks he can fit the ball into a keyhole.
IMV, we will have a better chance for splash plays with Lock, but he will likely offset that with his idiocy.
Taylor/DeVito were 5-6
Between Lock, Jones and DeVito it's the epitome of shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic.
But DeVito and Jones can't dance like this.

Agree... it's time, at this point i'd rather have the ability to make some big plays and suffer some dumb things than a dink-dunk game manager that we have who does some dumb things like yesterday's pick...
If Thomas is out next week, and the OL looks like it will disintegrate, I'd go with Lock, with DeVito a distant 2nd.
Neither have a 25 mil insurance policy that could destroy next season.
Then collinsworth commented on it.
Then I thought why would he be so careless with his health...
Lock will make more mistakes and be less able to string together long drives. But he will get bigger chunks.
Jones is probably the guy you'd want as a backup QB on a good team. Lock would be more interesting to watch and give us more volatility.

I believe you mean whacked
I am perplexed as to what people see in DeVito, he was a good flash in the pan story but I see nothing to build on. Your mileage may vary.

If there’s any real question about who would get the start, Devito hasn’t been dressing for the games.

But shouldn't a QB guru, whisperer, etc be able to coach him up? Part of the reason Dabs was hired was his abiity to develop QBs. Ok Jones is not the answer but at what point do we see that part of his resume? Or does it only apply to top tier picks and if so doesn't Lock fit that pre-req? Joe needs to have his buddy step up in that area.

I’ll take the guy that can give our receivers a chance to open up their game and give Ds something to think about deep, otherwise the dink and dunk is no different than Ds playing down low in the box.
