Will people on here jump back on the bandwagon, or will this place still be crickets? That is the question. I find this site incredibly depressing. I get being down on Jones and the team if they are losing. But if they can win the next two weeks they get to .500, and then they are facing Jayden Daniels at home. If people ARE still negative all the time at that point, then I just think that is really unfortunate. I mean truly. This is not a strong division. It is right there for the taking and the Giants have the best defense in the division. Worry about the QB position after the season. Just win baby. If more people on here had that philosophy, I'm telling you that you would feel much better.
That likely won't change my expectations, but I ride this bandwagon never season all the way until the end.
Some people do choose to be miserable.
Cool.
Some people choose to be dumb, and then double down by criticizing the people that choose not to be dumb.

Were you one of the people saying the Giants had no chance in Seattle? Just wondering
Shamrocks you're the embodiment of the broken clock - right at least twice a day. You've picked the Giants to win every game so of course you'll crow loudly about being right occasionally. Since the Giants are 2-4 and so are you, you're as good a prognosticator as the Giants are a football team. The last thing this team needs is a couple of fluky 2022 wins to mask the true issues and John Mara embarrassing himself by loudly proclaiming "We're back" again.

You, are a fucking asshole. And quite a few others here behind you. Have a nice night.
I would give back all three Devito wins last year and the warm and fuzzies of that story for Jayden Daniels. Who here would disagree?
If we didn’t win those games last year we would have Daniels and be 5-1 / 4-2 like Washington and super excited about the next 15 years and what we can accomplish. You know what’s keeping most of us miserable right now or taking uppers like Shamrock? Those three fucking games last year.
As JonC says, “sugar high”. It’s rotting a lot of peoples brains.
Plus older,plus injury.
Things go better with coke.

I guess that's a no. I chose to not be miserable and focus on the fact the Giants have an excellent defense and a #1 receiver for the 1st time in forever. But go ahead.
I’d be excited and hope they win against Washington.
Agree completely.

I have coached undefeated state champions and I have coached teams that struggled to win two games.
I don't jump off of bandwagons.
I may not be Ted Lasso, but I support my guys and I work my ass off to find the good in every season.
Have a nice weekend.
The bar is set at "relevant games in December".
Root for losses, man. Huge losses.
Just stop. Jones is gone next year. Sometimes I think u hope Jones stays just so you can complain
A free Pepsi to wash it down.
Shoot the current QB...now, there's an idea.

Your pov is more myopic -next week's opponent- when you coach. You have control over some things. Be positive about what you can't.
We control nothing. Observing means seeing things from an outside perspective, and realizing DJ doesn't have what it takes, instead of putting a positive spin on things for team morale.
My attitude is not going to determine the outcome of any play Sunday.

Oh, and pro football has little to do with the ra-ra life lessons imparted in HS.
These guys are the genetic freaks that have to learn that they won't be able to run around everyone at the next level.
That argument goes both ways. Since none of our attitudes affects anything on the field why not root and look for the positives? Why continually dwell on the negatives, it makes no difference.
The reality is going to be whatever team suits up each Sunday and nothing more or less. Everyone is disappointed when they lose but there is nothing wrong with a fan that chooses to continue to enthusiastically root for his team. That’s what millions of fans do of their teams in all sports across the globe. It’s not really some head scratcher

Cool story. Are you coaching the Giants? If not, your presence on the bandwagon is irrelevant.
Saying that some people choose to be miserable is a criticism.
Further, observing that the bandwagon is being driven off the cliff isn't being miserable. It's just observing reality.
I'll grow up when you get off your high horse and stop telling other people how to be fans.

Cool story. I coaches my kids' soccer team to an undefeated season. I've also won the Super Bowl in Madden. Those achievements are as relevant to the Giants as yours.

I think the general nastiness of some old timers was a much more pernicious contribution to this site than the consistent negativity expressed for a team that is pacing to have the fewest wins in the conference over the last 10 seasons.

No noting that some people choose misery is just an observation not a criticism.
I'm not telling anyone how to be a fan I'm supporting the guy who said he's still is one.

2) Get to 3-4 first. This team has yet to win at home in 3 tries.
3) I can't speak for everyone, but I can speak for myself and I think most would agree. We are bursting at the seams to have something to cheer about. It's not like everyone jumped off a bandwagon. We are still here. But, we have endured more than a decade of almost all losing football. How would expect fans to act?
but that's about it

Acknowledging the team's faults is the first step to looking at this with clear eyes.

"Blind admiration," that's cute.
Nothing we say ON A MESSAGE BOARD has a direct effect on the Giants' outcome in games, positive OR negative.
Sounds like your issue is really more about the existential question of a fan message board's purpose.

Thay wasn't my intention. It's just expressing my opinion. I don't believe that Jones is this terrible QB that most here think he is. He certainly has faults, but most QB's have faults in the modern NFL. I think Jones would be more successful in a traditional I-formation offense with RPO's and play action passing. If that offense isn't in the cards for the Giants then it is time to move on from him.
"Traditional I-formation?" What teams right now run a traditional I-formation at all?

I’d love to know how an RPO would work out of the I formation.
Anyway this is just an attempt to change the conversation. Earlier this week he said Daboll should go back to running the 2022 offense.
When it was pointed out that’s what’s happening, the new tact is to blame the modern NFL offense in general. The fact that Jones has never run the kind of offense he’s now proposing doesn’t seem to matter.
Jones cannot fail, in this particular poster’s mind.

The Ravens, Steelers and Lions do not run I-formations, but there offensive's are certainly predicated on establishing the run.
So why are you advocating using a formation that the teams you like DO NOT use?
