Will people on here jump back on the bandwagon, or will this place still be crickets? That is the question. I find this site incredibly depressing. I get being down on Jones and the team if they are losing. But if they can win the next two weeks they get to .500, and then they are facing Jayden Daniels at home. If people ARE still negative all the time at that point, then I just think that is really unfortunate. I mean truly. This is not a strong division. It is right there for the taking and the Giants have the best defense in the division. Worry about the QB position after the season. Just win baby. If more people on here had that philosophy, I'm telling you that you would feel much better.
And for another, I don't think that result would change the outlook for this season or the franchise in general.
I'm not getting on a rickety-wheeled bandwagon to try and feel better, the Giants don't affect my mood about anything other than the Giants - and right now the Giants are a bottom tier NFL franchise.
But I'm sure that no matter what happens, you'll find fault everywhere but one position on the field.
What is the prize if Jones throws a touchdown at home?

I guess that's a no. I chose to not be miserable and focus on the fact the Giants have an excellent defense and a #1 receiver for the 1st time in forever. But go ahead.
Imagine the cognitive dissonance required to simultaneously support DJ with full-throated enthusiasm, and then try to claim "I chose [sic] to not be miserable."
Sweetie, I hate to break it to you, but you're absolutely choosing to be miserable.
LOL, I needn't have asked, but I guess I appreciate the answer.
You can keep referring to yourself as some sort of positive, upbeat guy surrounded by a bunch of grumpy Debbie Downers, but all you are doing is showing everyone that you don't understand what you are seeing because you see with your heart, not your head.
I hope it's a bit. The alternative is much sadder.
No matter the outcome, there will be a mix of fans who are positive, negative, and somewhere else on the spectrum of feelings.
Maybe a good question to ask, does it matter how people feel? Does that amswer preclude meaningful debate about football?
And then we can top things off and run it back again with Daniel Jones by giving him another 4 year $160M deal.
The icing on the cake will be Eric on li giving this deal another A-grade because there were no other better QB options.
Or last year.
At least not to a Giant. He's got a few TD passes to the other team.
1) No matter what we are moving off Jones after this season. I truly believe that.
2) I am still eager for this team to win games and compete for and in the playoffs.
3) I don't see Jones as the reason we would be 4-4 but even if is the QB for us at 4-4 I still expect that he will not be able to play well and win consistently- period.
I want the Giants to move off the Jones is QB stance as it is so over and done here...

I agree with you. The only way we don't move on from Jones is if he magically transforms into the good and consistent QB that he's never been; not gonna happen.
The bar is set at "relevant games in December".
Root for losses, man. Huge losses.

If you guaranteed #1, I'd feel a lot better, but I don't agree at all. If the Giants go into Philly in the last week of the season with any chance of making the playoffs, win or lose Jones is going to be back in 2025.
I'd be my next mortgage payment on it. The same "good times around the bend" vibe that shows up every time the Giants win a game around here is present in the owner's box at MetLife.
Maybe I'm wrong, and if I am I would gladly give you my next mortgage payment right now for the certainty of scenario #1 playing out, but I don't see it.
I'd rather watch the Giants start over with a new coaching staff than keep this staff with Daniel Jones at QB.
Daniel Jones is one of the 5 worst starting QBs in the NFL. No other team in the NFL would play him as their #1 QB with his current contract. With the exception of Watson in Cleveland no fan base would want their team to trade their starting QB for Daniel Jones.

Were you one of the people saying the Giants had no chance in Seattle? Just wondering
You were one of the people saying we would beat Seattle. Where will you be when we are 2-6?
That likely won't change my expectations, but I ride this bandwagon never season all the way until the end.
Some people do choose to be miserable.
The Giants are likely to start Ezeudu at either LT or RT. If that is the case, Daniel Jones chances of being on the injured list just shot up dramatically.
Sure, Lock may be lightning in a bottle for a bit, but even if by a miracle the Giants win the division, they will get an even worst beating in the playoffs than the one Philly gave us in 2022.
Reality is going to hit when the Eagles come to the Meadowlands at 1pm this Sunday. Yes, the Eagles aren't a good team, but the likelyhood is that Mr. "I can't score a TD at home even with Andrew Thomas protecting my blind side" is going to take a horrific beating.
And since we know how putrid Jones is in those games, it makes the premise of the OP laughable.
That likely won't change my expectations, but I ride this bandwagon never season all the way until the end.
Some people do choose to be miserable.
Cool.
Some people choose to be dumb, and then double down by criticizing the people that choose not to be dumb.

Shamrocks you're the embodiment of the broken clock - right at least twice a day. You've picked the Giants to win every game so of course you'll crow loudly about being right occasionally. Since the Giants are 2-4 and so are you, you're as good a prognosticator as the Giants are a football team. The last thing this team needs is a couple of fluky 2022 wins to mask the true issues and John Mara embarrassing himself by loudly proclaiming "We're back" again.

You, are a fucking asshole. And quite a few others here behind you. Have a nice night.
I would give back all three Devito wins last year and the warm and fuzzies of that story for Jayden Daniels. Who here would disagree?
If we didn’t win those games last year we would have Daniels and be 5-1 / 4-2 like Washington and super excited about the next 15 years and what we can accomplish. You know what’s keeping most of us miserable right now or taking uppers like Shamrock? Those three fucking games last year.
