who undoubtedly monitor this site are relaying the absolute indifference to which much of this fanbase has surrendered.
In his year-end press conference (if he has the guts to hold one) I hope John Mara does not talk about a disappointing year, or fan frustration, but acknowledges that this team is just uninteresting. And it has nothing to do with Saquon Barkley. It has to do with putting personality, feelings and nostalgia ahead of entertainment and winning.
If this were a public company who was accountable to their stakeholders, John Mara would be out of a job.
"But it’s tough to get excited or predict a win with Daniel Jones remaining at quarterback."
It really does suck the life out of you watching him.
I get no pleasure typing that. But c'mon.
I watch out of habit...i still go to the bar, but the days of waking up enthused over the Giants on game days is long gone.
How many generations of fans are they losing?
My son and daughter like the Giants because of dad. But they never watch. Why would they?
Funny side story. My daughter is a freshman in college and a Dallas fan (guy) bet her which ever team won, the other person bought dinner for the other.
Dad informed her of two valuable life lessons:
(1) Never bet on the Giants against Dallas in Prime Time.
(2) You just got suckered into a date without even knowing it.
It is what it is. I am so apathetic about this team with this QB. I feel like we have moved past spinning our wheels and are now in the ‘Is this a farce?’ area.

If Mara were accountable to the public he would have went along with Joe Judge and Dave Gettleman and the free medium Pepsi, that was one of the most embarrassing scenarios I've ever been subjected to as a sports fan.
When you look how the schedules are laid out none of the NFC EAST teams currently inspire confidence that they will win way more than they lose. In fact these teams seem like they are heading to a 9-8 or less division winner.
If the Giants win this weekend and say Washington gets tripped up by Carolina then all bets are off in this division. If we lose we want division opponents to win more games and stretch the gap between us and them by multiple games.
I would like to see what this team could do with Devito at QB (not that I think he is better overall but that I think he would generate some excitement and generate points.. If the team and scheme and can win games it can do so with Devito at QB even better than it can with Jones.
I just don't see this team doing much with the walking embodiment of paint drying and clinical depression.

Same as my son. If he watches football, he’d rather go watch the Lions with his buddy from Michigan or do something else

RE: ... lack of interest by Giants fans in this season is palpable.
Other than watching the game, my "non game time" Giants time spent is at an all time low.
This Sunday should be "D Day" for Jones. Either clearly be the reason the Giants win or the bench should be where he remains for the rest of the season.

I’ve been a Giants fan since the early 80’s, and I tried to bring my girls up that way. One fell victim to Wilson, the Legion of boom and the green and blue u forms. The other one, went with the team w a QB, Joe B and. Cincy. They want no part of being a Giants fan
I'm not sure I can see him agreeing with the idea of trading away Slayton and Ojulari. I think he's more likely to double down on playing the vets instead.

After all, we are all watching. I can say from my teen, Nabers , Dexter, KT, and Burns are why he WANTS to watch every game. However, without better play, he won't finish every game. He really wants to be into it, but as some have said here, this team sucks the life out of us fans.
That said, I do expect a very loud stadium tomorrow. To start, the fans will be loud to combat the Eagles fans and because they hate the Eagles. Play well and they will stay loud. But, a shit performance will get the other side of loud...boo birds raining down. And probably some "We want Tommy" or "Tommy Cutlets" chants. Jones wants a pleasant home atmosphere? Then he better start playing well at home.
I think every game now, depending on how the Giants and the division opponents do, could be Jones last.
I go to all the games, I really only go for the tailgating and I’ve become good friends with the people who sit in my section. When December rolls around I’ll start giving my seats away to people with kids who want to go to a live game.
I never thought I d say it . I swore I never would but....

Giants-Eagles, 1pm.
I’ll be attending the Oyster Festival. I couldn’t give two shits about this game.

I live in Philadelphia metro, despise the Eagles and I don’t care if the Giants win or lose. It’s October 19. lol.
