Fantasy Football Discussion - October 19

I need a TE to stream for the week. Slim pickings in my league which has a mandatory TE and two W/R/T flexes.

PPR, who would you add out of:

Colby Parkinson vs LV
Noah Fant @ ATL
Ty Conklin @ PIT
Grant Calcaterra @ NYG
Jonnu Smith @ IND
Mike Gesicki @ CLE
Theo Johnson vs PHI

I'm thinking Parkinson, but since Goedert is out, maybe Calcaterra.

What do you think?

I'd prob

Do calcetara. When the giants frustratingly don't cover the TE at least you'll benefit from it
TE is a real dart throw right now

even guys like LaPorta aren’t even consistent. I’d probably go with Goedert’s backup as well. If Kupp comes back you know Stafford will throw to him like 40 times so Parkinson’s opportunities may be very limited.
Only thing about Calcaterra

is Okwuegbunam could be activated off IR for the game.

So it complicates things a little.

If Okwuegbunam is active I think he's a better play.

And yeah, TE is brutal this year. I drafted Njoku and have since gotten maybe 20 points total from the TE position until last week when Kmet had a good game. Good news is his bye is this week so going forward, if he's healthy I'm not going to care about TE.
I’d go Parkinson

Especially if Kupp is still out. Parkinson had 13 targets last game.

Mahomes or Purdy?

McLaurin, Metcalf, or Chase Brown for Flex (non-ppr)

Fantasypros says 97% Purdy. But I struggle to accept advice when they say to start a player over a player I drafted higher. But...I listened last week and started Jordan Love over Josh Allen and it paid off.

On your second question, FP recommends Metcalf 68%, 25% Brown, and 8% McLaurin. I think that's right.

Ok thanks yeah I was leaning Metcalf!

The Purdy Mahomes one is harder. I know Purdy seems to be the recommended choice but just in principle it feels weird to imagine the 2 going up against each other in a SB rematch and saying “oh yeah I’m going Purdy” haha

Fantasy QB is different from real life QB. Guys like Justin Fields and Jameis Winston have been fantasy studs even though they're not that great in real life. Take the points, not the prestige.
