You were the first one on that wagon bw . Good call. I know this can change but I don't think he was on anyone's radar on BBI but yours. Or at least as vocal about it as you.
has a lot of Eli in him. I like him a lot. I would be excited to get him. He takes shots downfield, throws with great anticipation and has very good arm talent.

Long way to go for sure. I watch a lot of video content during the offseason, and I stumbled onto LSU's bowl game last season against Wisconsin. Since Daniels was sitting out for the draft, Nuss played QB. And man did he light it up. I was really impressed with the types of throws he was making. Just a natural thrower.
He is a gambler though and will put the ball in bad spots. Personally, I'm okay with that because of the risk-reward since he has an arm that can throw players open. But that will have to be an area of improvement for sure...

That's actually not a bad comp. Eli was a little bigger, but I think Nuss may be more athletic.

is that he appears to grade out well in the areas where Jones grades the worst.
I call guys like Nussmeier arrogant throwers. They believe they can put the ball anywhere and dare the defense to make a play. That's what happens when you are gifted and totally believe in your ability.
I had changed my perspective on a qb class can produce elite talent at any time. But this class reeks of 2013 or 2019. I truly believe JJ McCarthy would have been qb1 in this class by a country mile. This isn’t the spot to grab your top 5 qb. Look to 2026.

Burrow.

I'm not saying Nussmeier is Burrow, I was commenting bw's arrogant throwers statement.
Both dropped today. Milroe too. The QB class may be shit. Sanders won today, but had 2 picks. At least we have Danny.
Ask yourself this...
How do you think Milroe would have done today against Arizona? And would Sanders have performed in Knoxville against one of the best defenses in the country?
Who has been on Nuss all year. I see the talent, but I can’t tell how much is decision making vs. gambling. He makes some unforced errors.
There should be no reason to come out of this draft with no QB again this year. It is the #1 need on this team and there are a lot of guys with potential. Let our “QB Whisperer” earn his reputation and mold one of them.
that doesn't bother me. It is always easier to reel a guy in than it is to get him to be aggressive. No guts, no glory. I'd rather a QB test what he can and cannot do than to be gun shy and too conservative.
Gonna be interesting if they make a change at QB in the 2nd half. I truly doubt they will but I wouldn't be surprised either way.
In the same game Beck also sucked. For me, that pushes Ward further to the top. I don't know how I'd rank them, but I think Ward, Nuss, and Sanders are the top 3. After that, there's a bit of a dropoff.
How i do. Would LOVE Nuss. He just looks so proficient at QB. Has an arm that can reach every blade of grass. Has a good understanding of defenses. Has some dog in him. My QB1

Yep.
I also am intrigued by Allar but that is more based on age and
projection because he has the tools. I wouldn't be surprised to see him become a really good QB in a year or two but the other side is true too where he doesn't progress.
Milroe seems to have lost a lot of steam lately as well
Since you backed me with Cam Ward I have to back you here. Also I like what I have seen from Nuss.
Cam Ward is QB1, but I have to admit, I'm warming up to the idea of a bridge QB like Stafford more and more.

If Nuss was more of a legit dual threat, he'd be a top five pick, IMV. Because his arm talent and pocket poise are pretty high level.

I'm glad that Sy's talented eyes agree with my untalented eyes. *grin*
Exactly, the more guys who can be considered QB#1, the better chance the Giants have of getting their guy.

Would that be the "playing quarterback" area?

Yep.
Not sure he is a Daboll QB (if he is still the hC) as he does not offer much in the run game. Different HC then yes.

Unless your release is lightning quick, you need some elusiveness.
I’m good with that
He had some big-time throws and he is tough.
I am looking forward to seeing him against some superior defenses.
Sander's play was disappointing.
Despite Colorado's win, he did not look good against an underwhelming defense.
