A depressing realization re this offense

I always felt that the worst era of offensive football for the Giants during my lifetime was the Dave Brown/Danny Kannell years. I recall watching those games and just thinking how wretched the offense was.

However, these were the Giants offensive rankings in PPG during those years:

1994 (Brown): 22nd
1995 (Brown): 24th
1996 (Brown): 28th
1997(Kannell): 21st
1998 (Kannell): 23rd.

By contrast since Jones became the QB, we have been ranked 30th twice and 31st twice. Admittedly, in 2023, Jones did not start the majority of the games.

So sadly, as bad as the Brown/Kannell years were, the Giants have been appreciably worse the last 6 years. That's very sobering.
