Starting Jones with the season out of reach shows that Daboll does not have the Giants longterm interests in mind. You can’t blame him though. As bad as Jones is, he is still likely the best QB on the roster, which is an indictment on the GM’s judgement. Going into the season without a better option is malpractice. Clean house.
So if he somehow plays the other 2 QBs he has their LT interests in mind. Neither one will be here next year. They both stink so whomever is playing QB has nothing to do with the LT.

Oh I'm going to weigh in on all of this shit tonight on the podcast.
I was up in the Catskills with my family for the weekend. Purposely got in the car at 1pm to drive home and listen to the game on the radio, rather than park in front of a tv and watch the misery. Watched the first half last night, and it was as miserable as expected. I think a big chunk of fans believed the win against PHL last season meant something. No sir, it didn't, another lesson unlearned. Even this PHL team, which is nowhere near as good as it was a year or two ago, NYG couldn't legit compete with them up front.
So maybe we have a scout or scouts that can really evaluate the quarterbacks coming out this year and hope that Schoen/Daboll use that information. They pick one that is available to them and draft him.
Let Daboll and Kafka do their magic and the kid will lead us out of the wilderness and we will soon vie for a championship. I just love fantasy stories where the this happens but in realty we will screw it up. How's that for a positive attitude.
