Have we heard from John Mara at all?

I'm sure that one of the first things he'll make clear is that he, Chris, and Tim have zero influence whatsoever. Everything is done by the GM and coach. The 3 of them just show up at the facility all the time...and do...nothing, it seems. It's just a cool place to hang out.

and Mara has sometimes made himself available for at least brief comment, which he knows how to do if he wants to.

In October 2018, he said he was "embarrassed . . . sick" about the 1-5 start. That was DG's first year and Saquon's rookie year.

In October 2022, with the Giants 5-1, Mara said "So far, so good . . . On to Jacksonville".

This fall's 2024 meeting was just held 10/15-10/16. No Mara comment emerged. Next owners meeting in December.

If Mara can't resist comment on the record on events as they unfold, he may go to Steve Serby. If he wants to leak something, maybe Ralph V.

No. But I can’t wait for him to tell us again how respected league wide the The Nephew is.

rant at the end of the year about how unacceptable all of this is, how it is nobody's fault but everyone is on notice, and how he feels like there were some things to like about how Daniel played and what a swell kid he is.

After all, hearing how nobody is more upset than him is all anyone needs to feel better about another lost season of crap.

He’s at the top of this decade long crap pile.

But can I just say, when we got Schoen and Dabes, detractors here said no way they fire the coach but they did to clear the way for GM. Then they said he’ll go in house. They’d go ask all the usual Giants and ex-Giants. They’ll go to BC. They’ll ask Accorsi again. Blah blah blah.

They did none of that. They got a highly regarded up-and coming GM assisting on a team that was well built and found a QB. They let him pick his staff and coach.

So, maybe they got it wrong again (I’m not off Schoen yet), but they did everything pretty much everyone said they ought to last time around.
