This week and next. If Matthew Stafford gets pulled off the field Thursday night he could be on his way out. Been some rumors that the Vikings are interested in Stafford (they play each other Thursday night). That would be a HUGE get for the Vikings.
Cooper Kupp is available, Alvin Kamara is available, Slayton (oh I wish), Mike Williams, Bryce Young...

Kamara signed an extension yesterday, so he’s off the table.
Some of the teams are in sell mode which tells me they're going to be the additional teams looking for a QB next season. I count 5 ahead of us that need a QB next season:
1. Carolina
2. Cleveland
3. Tennessee
4. NY Jets
5. Las Vegas
Looks like we're not getting a QB next year either boys...

There's plenty of games left for us to jump them in the draft order
Interesting rumor. They aren't paying Darnold much. Would be insurance if Darnold gets injured this year, and would give them a veteran to pair with McCarthy if they don't plan on signing Darnold longterm since they have McCarthy
It's great for the league and makes the playoffs way more interesting when the top teams can address glaring weaknesses. And there's no point in these vet WRs being on bad teams going nowhere

I think it’s been pretty fun watching Mahomes play without an alpha WR and making it work. Ditto for Allen. Just stacking all star teams is NBA level corny.

They’re not trading for Stafford to be Sam Darnold’s backup. He’d be the starter as soon as he’s ready.

if the Giants had a real GM, they'd trade for Stafford, sit Jones as the backup, with the longer term view of drafting a QB and having him sit behind Stafford next year til ready. Cut Jones and Lock after the season, then you have Tommy as your 3rd stringer/ or 2nd stringer if not comfortable with the rookie as backup

Darnold would go to the Rams who would apparently have interest in signing him long term. The Vikings aren't going to move off McCarthy after using the high 1st on him so they would play Stafford the rest of the year and then most likely go with McCarthy next season.

Thats right now. With the injuries and the QB play we'll probably be #2 by the end of the season

Don't forget the possibility of a trade with a team (like the Pats) that already has their QB of the future.
Totally agree
LOL
Sarcasm?
Slayton may or may not return to the Giants in 2025, and if he isn't, I do wish Schoen would gain some draft capital in return.
Joe Schoen has been brutal with his previous trades, he might get a 6th round pick in 2028.

Someone started using the swizzle stick early today.
