In conclusion, it often feels like you try to act as a shield for the organization. You're hugely respected by the vast majority of the fan base (if not all of it) and you know that, which means your word has great influence.

Jay. I sincerely appreciate your note. I try to give fair and appropriate critiques of all #nyg performances. I will not play into the carnivorous appetites of those who want me to tear a player down recklessly. That is not who I am, and as someone who has been in their shoea

I don't "shield" ownership. I don't need to. I do believe that the basis of much criticism is inaccurate and illinformed. I won't get into Chris & Tim Mac qualifications, but I encourage all to research them, starting from when they were both ball boys.

There are many issues fans can have with the organization, but ownership isn't one of them. It's not a shield it's a fact. Ask all who have played and not currently employed by the organization. #respect

I respect the job that they have but also know that they know my critiques are valid on point and ultimately respected.
Regarding ownership:
You will have to search far&wide to find anyone who has played for this organization to have a bad thing to say about ownership
'I won't get into Chris & Tim Mac qualifications'...LOL. Perhaps because neither the brother or The Nephew have any? Also, Carl having a nickname for The Nephew speaks volumes, as nicknames are usually reserved for someone you're close with.
Don't ever change Carl! Keep parroting the company line!
He and Papa losing all credibility… shills
What a coincidence that the only guys who worked their way up from ball boy to the highest level of the player personnel department happened to be Maras. Quite a success story.
Carl might believe that he is, but he's also likely personal friends with many of the family and they've been signing his checks since he was a 20-something rookie. He's 50 years old now.
Bullshit. It isn't hard at all. Just look across to the other home locker room. Far worse.
It is idiotic comments like this that that give BBI a black eye.
To be honest, the only proof you have of Jerry doing it is that he will tell you he does it and doesn't care who knows, so everyone else readily confirms it. If he didn't want it known, it would be a more guarded thing.
He’s going to be the next President not the next GM.

Mara Propaganda machine.
1. Many owners I’m sure do
2. It’s not just his fault we are where we are. Add a real qb and things are going to change.
Reality is jones has regressed and he continues to miss open throws and easy reads.
New qb come April so get ready.

Were we randomly assigned Danny Jones by some league mandate? You act like he’s not here because of the Giant’s front office.

Yeah, but it is his fault that we're in year six with Jones.
We've blamed and removed everyone else involved in the losing - when do Chris Mara and Tim Mac remove themselves?
But honestly I'm coming around to the idea that even they are just symptoms. John is the problem.
It cannot be stated enough that John Mara absolutely needs to step away from any and all football decisions.
Period.
100% correct. This ass-fan base has made up this narrative so they have someone to blame...
Quote:
As far as I know, most Giants have nice things to day about ownership. Nice facility, good benefits and a cafe. The team may suck, but Mara is in charge of above and hiring good GMs and signing off on GM coach choices. He may have had some influence on giving Eli a good send off, but thats the right thing to do. Otherwise, the meme of him doing Jerry Jones type meddling on the roster. Who has proof of this?

Is an ass-fan like an air-powered bidet? Or did you just put the hyphen in the wrong spot?

That’s fine, I don’t disagree, but how many owners have family members strewn around the Personnel dept? That is the issue, 2 “personnel” guys who nominally report to the GM, but because they’re owners, the GM also reports to them. Even the appearance of a conflict of interest is bad.
But CM’s 2011 promotion under the GM was definitely nepotistic and that situation remains with McDonnell. I feel it’s patently unfair to a GM that he has someone on staff, in a Director’s position no less that he can’t fire or take repercussions over. But that’s just one man’s opinion.
