His sack #'s were down while in Tennessee (3,4). Went up to 6.5 in ATL last year.

while still adding a couple of low-cost veterans that can rotate in and out, especially pass rushers and cornerbacks. I wonder what Bowen thinks of Dupree?

Right, he dealt with some injuries in Tenn and they let him go, but seemed to rebound a bit last year as you said. That's the kind of guy I would bring in if cheap. You know the words - you can never have enough pass rushers...
If they are looking for big money, I don't want a single one of them. If they are looking to get a year or two at low numbers, we should talk to them...
I considered him, but was afraid to look up his age...
They can help fill the holes that the Giants have.
The Giants need depth at corner, DL, and possibly OL.
If you want maximum results from Lawrence, you need to get another high level player to go along side him.
If they are only going to sign 1 more, I'd go Calais Campbell or Lawrence Guy.
Edge has 3 legit players; CB they have 4 different bodies to throw out there (Flott, McCloud, Hawkins, & Phillips), but the Dline could be exhausted by the start of the 4th Qtr each week.....that leads to big rushing #'s and injuries throughout the team.

Don’t forget they signed Jordan Phillips, who will most likely start along side Dex.
also LOL at 'play the kids'. if the kids are good they will play. not having snaps is rarely the issue over a full nfl season. you sign depth so that way half way through the year you arent signing guys off the street to start.
Not too reassured by the group of FA journeyman OL guys that Schoen signed already.
It appears that Bowen favors a 4-man front.
Penetrating DT, or exception for C Campbell who I’ve always wanted.
Backup ILB
Swing OT
I’d also bring Breida back for training camp.
There are some really good names but don’t know if they are healthy and what the cost is. At this point I only want vet min. with the exception being OT I’d spend money there. But would that player come here knowing that Neal will have a long leash.
If he is healthy, willing to sit the beginning of the year (make sure he is fully healthy / give Neal time to show his worth) and if he would sign for less then 10m, I would sign him and let him sit on the bench and be insurance against injury and failure. Your backup OT is basically a starter, at some point they will be starting for you because someone got hurt. Just like I don’t mind have a 5-10 mil backup qb, I don’t mind a 5-10 million back up OT either.
Would want any of them who understand their role as versatile backup or starter(depending on position) with a nod towards helping to develop the younger guys on the roster.
